Michel Issaly is a leading light in the promotion of the wines of the South West, being Secretary General of the local ‘Vignerons Indépendants’ (Independent Winegrowers) group. He has only a tiny vineyard, and, unusually in Gaillac, his reds are as good as his whites. Resolutely organic and traditional, his wines sell well in top Paris restaurants.
