San Felice is a hamlet, hotel and a wine estate all rolled into one. The hamlet dates back to the Middle Ages, and here you can see and indeed stay in houses of typical rural Tuscan architecture, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves and with views over the rolling hills. The Relais and Château Hotel Borgo San Felice comprises five cottages around the main piazza of the charming village and provides a delightful refuge just 15km from Siena The rooms have classic Tuscan furnishing and range from elegant double rooms to classy suites. You can dine at the hotel’s restaurant, Poggio Rosso, which has an excellent wine list and a wonderful terrace for al fresco eating. There is also a heated pool, and a spa which offers wine-therapy beauty treatments (see ‘Other Attractions'). San Felice is one of Chianti Classico’s largest wineries, producing a range of wines (see – there is an enoteca wine shop selling the wines in the village.
