In addition to their responsibilities as owners of this beautifully appointed hotel with 17 rooms, located in a 17th-century palace, José Luis Castillo and his wife Merche entertain their guests with an interesting range of activities based on the vineyards surrounding the village of Abalos. Four times a year, during pruning, flowering, véraison (colour change) and the harvest, guests are invited to participate in these rituals associated with viticulture. It is also possible to take bicycle tours through the vineyards, as well as visit ancient wine-pressing and fermenting areas in shallow holes carved into huge boulders.
Useful information: Rooms from €93.50 including breakfast. A dinner menu is available for hotel guests at €26.
