The back gate at Bodegas Corral opens on to the Camino de Santiago de Compostela, or Pilgrims’ Route, and the main brand, Don Jacobo, pays homage to the apostle James. Altos de Corral is the winery’s single vineyard wine, vinified in the modern style, in contrast to the rest of the range which is solidly in the camp of traditional Rioja. In addition to a tour and tasting, the winery offers a wine-tasting course and tours on horseback to its hilltop vineyard, Altos de Corral.
Useful information: Visits by appointment from Monday to Friday at 10.30, 12.30 and 17.30 (€3 per person). Tasting course on Saturday at 10.30 and 13.30 (€25 per person). Tour of the vineyards on horseback (€20 per person including a tour of the winery). English spoken. The winery has a private dining room for lunch and dinner (by appointment with a minimum of 10 persons). English spoken.
