The owners, the Pérez family, have based tours at Bodegas Ontañón on Greek and Roman wine mythology and the story of Dionysos. To illustrate this, the winery houses a collection of paintings and sculptures by Riojan artist Miguel Angel Sáenz. The Pérez family is one of the largest vineyard owners in Rioja, with vineyards in Rioja Baja. The whole range of Ontañón’s wines is worth trying for their intense, juicy fruit.
