Finca Valpiedra is a winery located on an 80ha vineyard beside a bend in the River Ebro, and is currently the only winery in Rioja to belong to the Grandes Pagos de España (Great Estates of Spain) association. As its name suggests, wines produced here come exclusively from the surrounding vineyards. Especially interesting is the new brand Cantos de Valpiedra, created as a younger version of the winery’s reserva, made exclusively from the estate’s own vineyards. Built in 1994, Finca Valpiedra was one of the first examples of avant-garde winery architecture in Rioja. There is a collection of paintings by Basque and Riojan artists of vineyards at different times of the year.
